Selling out two nights (Oct. 4 and 5) at the Fox in front of a rabid crowd of longtime fans, the Smokin’ Armadillos reunited for the band's first live shows since 2005. Not often mentioned in the same breath as Buck Owens and Merle Haggard, the group deserves to be recognized for its contribution to the historical fabric of Bakersfield country music.

Smokin' Armadillos Announce Return to the Stage
BAKERSFIELD, May 13, 2019 - Country music group the Smokin’ Armadillos announced today that they will be returning to the stage on October 4th with a concert at the Bakersfield Fox Theater. The Bakersfield natives last performed live together at their farewell concert over 14 years ago, after a 13 year run that started in 1992.

New Single Debuts on KUZZ Bakersfield
The Armadillos debuted their new single, The Other California, to the world on Friday at their hometown radio station, KUZZ. Returning to the station that was the first to ever play a Smokin' Armadillos tune back in 1993, was only natural for the boys from Bakersfield.

Bakersfield's Smokin' Armadillos Are Back!
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - They took some time off, but now, the Smokin' Armadillos are back to showcase some local country music.
The six-man band started after high school. They signed a record deal in Nashville and sold over 150,000 copies of their EP.
